Along with helping the world meet its energy needs through sustainable solar power, our focus is to work collaboratively and build long-term partnerships across the full spectrum of interested stakeholders— governments, manufacturers, investors, local developers and community groups.
Tessera Solar International’s objective is also to create many thousands of new “green-collar” jobs, stimulating long-term economic development in both developed and emerging markets where growing demand for power overlaps with high solar radiation and local economic development opportunities.
Tessera Solar projects will enable communities to benefit from a previously untapped, natural resource and create economic opportunities where they’re needed. Two of Tessera Solar North America’s projects alone are expected to create some 1,400 new construction jobs in small communities in California. When full-scale manufacturing is achieved in the near term, the SunCatcher™ manufacturing facilities will employ over 4,000 people throughout the supply chain.
